Area Guide
About Royal Leamington Spa
Towards the south of the county, Leamington Spa and Warwick offer some of the region’s most exclusive housing.
Royal Leamington Spa is famous for its stunning Georgian and Victorian town houses and architecture. Today Leamington is home to a population of around 50,000 and remains one of the Midlands’ most popular shopping centres. Whilst some of the traditional Regency terraces have remained as large family homes, many have now been converted into exclusive apartment buildings. The area also offers a plentiful supply of family housing especially around Lillington, Cubbington and Whitnash. Many larger four and five bedroom properties are also available
In the nearby county town of Warwick, renowned for its medieval castle, a population of around 26,000 people enjoys the area’s rich history, culture and nightlife. Warwick has always been a fashionable residential location for those working in the Midlands. More recently the town’s proximity to the M40 motorway and the opening of the Warwick Parkway train station in 2000 has led to a growth in the town and its attraction for commuters.

Housing in central Warwick dates back to the 14th century and includes a variety of high-quality period housing. Many well-preserved Victorian cottages and municipal buildings have been lovingly updated, with some converted to provide more modern city-living style apartments.
Investment continues to pour into the area and a variety of retail and residential schemes are being planned. A great deal of development is taking place on the town’s borders towards Birmingham and Stratford, which is set to provide further modern and affordable family homes.
