Brian Holt offers hassle free HIPs

Brian Holt is taking the hassle out of HIPs to help reduce the stress many vendors are anticipating now the new packs are compulsory for all homes with three or more bedrooms.

Staff are keen to reassure those thinking of selling their homes that the Home Information Packs, which became law in September, should be headache free.

MD Brian Holt explained: “We have a team of very experienced staff and are working with a range of HIPs providers and solicitors who have systems in place to draw up the packs. Although the HIPs are creating more work for poor estate agents it really shouldn’t cause any problems for those selling their homes. We’re taking the weight off their shoulders and are here to help with any problems or concerns.

“One of the key issues before HIPs became law was the cost of the packs which average at around £400. In many cases this cost is absorbed by us – depending on the nature and size of the sale – so again, although a factor in deciding whether or not to put one’s house up for sale should not be a major stumbling block.

“We’ve been in this business a long time and have spent many a year easing vendors and buyers through the complex and often stressful house buying experience. One extra piece of legislation isn’t going to stop us doing what we’ve always done very well – and making it as enjoyable and stress free as possible.”
