Brian Holt branches out into new lettings venture
01/05/2007
Brian Holt has launched a new lettings and property management division to cater for the expanding rental market.
The department, which launched on May 1 and operates from its four offices in Coventry city centre, Earlsdon, Leamington and Kenilworth, offers specialised services to landlords as well as combining a personal family business approach with an ability to offer geographical diversity.
The lettings team is headed by Mark Walmsley, who has many successful years’ experience in the letting and property management industry in south Warwickshire.
“In the current climate, where capital growth isn’t dramatic, more vendors are finding themselves in a position where they are renting houses for the first time ever, often to help complete chains when buying and selling,” explained Mark.
“The buy to let market continues to be buoyant despite recent interest rate rises and property is still rightly considered one of the most favoured investments – all of which add up to a very healthy lettings market. Because there are so many agencies out there there’s an even greater need to ensure a quality service for both landlords and tenants. Offering this, along with further safeguards making the process as risk and trouble free as possible, is our goal.
“We are offering competitive rates and a rent guarantee policy, which will insure against tenants defaulting on their payments during the initial term. With the new deposit legislation that came into force on April 6 we can help private landlords to comply with the regulations by holding deposits for them.
“The key within any estate agency business is the people. Although we are using state of the art marketing and management software, what really matters is our relationship with our customers – landlords and tenants. We’re offering a personal, localised service with all the benefits of a multi agency approach. Many agencies have one without the other.”
